Business Development Training

South Africa has a problem with unemployment as does most of the African countries who also suffer from this malaise. The end result is that when one leaves school and the excitement of your future career is dashed by the reality of no job offers, you consider the alternatives. What are these alternatives? Crime, gangs, drugs!

With this in mind, we have developed a program based on our own experiences both in business and as a Bussionary on three continents incorporating “Best Practice” methodologies. There are three sections to the training which is aimed at giving positive mind sets rather than simply providing skill sets to the attendees. The target for this training is grade 9-12 school attenders although the principles can and should be used by all groups.

This may come as a shock to some of the regular readers but yes, I do do business as i am essentially a Bussionary! That simply means I follow Paul’s example of working for my daily income and all the funds of the church is used to advance the Kingdom.  

So what am I on about now you wonder! I want to talk about unemployment in South Africa and our approach to it. Having been in business al my life and specifically in the development of human potential and finance  i have noted a few anomalies in how we approach our serious situation of unemployment. If we consider it is estimated that over 60% of school-leavers will not find employment on leaving school we can see the concern. We have established what are called Sita’s which fund business in assisting in the development of youth in areas identified as high employment areas.

However I do not believe this is the solution.

Doomed to repeat

Looking at the past of South Africa we wonder why the future is steadfastly forcing itself forward in repeating the same hurts, causing the same pain and enforcing the same potential reaction!

The only unchanging aspect of the political evil consuming South africa at present is that God does not change and His desires remain the same.
The generation prior to mine enforced the draconian Apartheid laws, eventually ending by the rising up of not only South Africans (coincidently of all races) but of the world against the evil of separation based on pigmentation and culture.

Yes, I knew you would also admit it must be South Africa! With a reputation of violence and Apartheid we still are a peaceful country with abundant love for our fellow countrymen.

How can I say this? Well, I have just returned from a trip to the rural heart of South Africa in the old homeland of Kwandabele with a team of American missionaries. The love and acceptance of the people just continues to amaze me at the level of forgiveness and goodwill which resides in the hearts of South Africans.
