The reputation of Christians are tattered as reports of Christian leaders who have fallen become more and more regular. Why is it that such great joy is had at the demise of someone? Could it be the manner in which they portrayed their superiority because of their beliefs? Could it be because of how the world sees and perceives Christians? I beleieve it is partly because when one falls then you can say, “see, we are all fallible and I am not so bad after all”! Whatever the emotion I believe it bears a little looking at. World cup Soccer, 2010
17 11 2008South Africa is in the enviable position of presenting the World Cup Soccer for 2010 and are in the process of building and renovating the existing stadiums. The renovation of the physical asswets is only one area for the people of SA to be involved in. The most important is the attempt to “renovate” our national soccer team.
We have at great cost obtained the services of a Brazilian which lasted a few months only at great cost and then his sidekick was suggested by him. This individual who is unable to communicate in English has now taken over the reigns in South Africa. Read the rest of this entry »

The Luke Watson saga
13 11 2008Luke Watson, now better known as “puke” Watson, has had his few minutes of fame for his comment of the urge to puke on the Springbok jersey when representing the rugby Springboks. He contends this is a painful reminder of the apartheid past and brings about dissension.
He also refuses to play for the national side while that emblem remains on the jersey.
A few corrections seem to be in order. The Springbok emblem was on the jersey alongside the national flower from the earliest memory of the Springboks and numerous famous persons of colour have played in that same jersey.
